Good Shepherd’s Philosophy of Missions

The purpose of the Good Shepherd Missions Leadership Team is to extend the gospel of Jesus Christ and the ministries of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church beyond the walls of our church.   We seek to be evangelistic by reaching more people with the gospel of God’s love in Jesus Christ.  We seek to be equipping by preparing people in every way for participation in God’s mission to the world and we seek to be faithful to the Great Commission by being witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Our work must have local, national, and international dimensions. We invite you take a look at the opportunities for you in these pages. We challenge you to pray, to go into service, and to share your financial blessing so that the Good News can be shared with all of God's people.DSCN0494.JPG                                                         Missions Leadership Committee

As followers of Jesus Christ we are called to missions. The mandate is crystal clear: Go and make disciples. For some, "go" means starting a neighborhood Bible study, praying for unreached peoples, serving on a short-term mission trip or rallying other Christians for missions involvement.  Not all believers have been given the same kingdom task, but all are called to fulfill the Great Commission.

We invite you to discover God's calling for your life. Join us as we co-labor with Christ to bring glory to God .
